I'm not saying that thanksgiving is overrated; I love the atmosphere, hanging out with relatives, the holidays, the preparations for food and all the good ambiance and stuff, but to be honest, it seems like you have meals even better than thanksgiving dinner many times a year. For example, a meal doesn't have to be extravagent to taste good; a lot of people's favorite food is pizza, and look how simple that is. Although hardly anyone would admit it, I'm sure a lot of people, foodwise, prefer just a simple pizza, or pasta with chicken, etc. type meal more than thanksgiving. As for the dessert, cookies, donuts, or ice cream can be substituted in for the pie just as easily. Anyone else care to chime in?
