Do conservative Republicans hate abortion because they dislike anyone usurping the role of God - like they do?

Since a fetus exists inside a world that is wholly dependent on the God-like qualities of the mother (who comprises its whole world while it is a fetus), the mother is essentially cast in the role of God. Since conservative Republicans feel that only they should be cast in the role of God, (they even feel a little queasy about God being God), is that the reason why they hate abortion?
