Should people on benefits be given compulsary jobs?

So we wake the 'stupid' ones up to go grit the roads with no warning whilst the better educated ones get to mess about in a cl room? Nice! I don't believe in slave labour so I would say if they're being sent out to these jobs that they should be payed a fair wage instead of having to 'work for their benefits'. I work but if I was on benefits there would be no way you'd be sending me out at 7.30 to grit the roads every morning for �50 a week.
