Can opiate use damage your hair over time?

As far as I can tell threw the research I have done there is no correlation between opiate use and hair loss. I have heard of several medications that may cause damage to hair but never anything about narcotic pain medication. There are supplements on the market that are said to help damaged hair but I guess you could just check with the health food store to see what they suggest.
