Why is it impossible to do anything with false nails on?

Whenever I have false nails on, I can't seem to put my seatbelt on in the car, eat my meals or even flush the toilet! I used Fingr's California girl ooh laguna. Why can I not do anything with them on? What is a good brand of nails to use so that I can do things in everyday life with them on? Please help!
